OptoPowerLab on a visit to the Laboratoire Hubert Curien in Saint-Etienne

Dr. Francesco Fienga recently visited the Laboratoire Hubert Curien in Saint-Étienne, following an invitation from Prof. Sylvain Girard. During his visit, he had the opportunity to explore the laboratory’s research activities and engage in insightful discussions with its members.

As part of his visit, Dr. Fienga delivered a seminar on fiber optic sensing applications within the CMS Collaboration at CERN, addressing the RADMET Master’s students. The presentation sparked stimulating discussions, providing a valuable exchange of ideas and perspectives on fiber optic sensors and dosimetry.

Dr. Fienga also interacted with the members of the MOPERE group, engaging in enriching conversations on common research interests. These exchanges fostered new collaborations and reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary research in advancing the field.

Beyond the scientific discussions, the visit offered a broader reflection on key topics such as collaboration, mentorship, and innovation in the evolving landscape of optical and radiation sensing technologies.

The Laboratoire Hubert Curien extends its gratitude to Dr. Fienga for his visit and insightful contributions, looking forward to future collaborations that will continue to drive advancements in this dynamic research domain.
